Greeting parents,

It was a great start over the past couple of days. It was nice to get back to the rink and re-connect with all the parents and kids. Here is what to expect going forward,
 

• Week of Sept 24^th, we will have 3 sessions that will be used for evaluations to split the players into the final A and B groups.
• Sunday Sept 29^th will be the coaches draft for the A and B teams.
• Between October 1^st and 8^th, we will be playing the balancing games. I will update the dates soon, I am just waiting on confirmation from our ice scheduler.
• October 10^th you should be contacted by your new head coach for the 2024/25 season.

If you could review the dates for the upcoming sessions and let me know in advance if you can’t attend it would be appreciated. We’d like to have as many kids out for the evaluations and balancing games as possible.

Please take note of the following,
 
I’ve listed the goalies based on the information I received when you registered. If you are planning on playing goalie this year but are not listed as a goalie below, please let me know as soon as possible. If you are a goalie and cannot attend one of the sessions, please let me know as early as possible.

If you do not see your name for the game evaluations, please let me know so I can arrange to have you added.

I’ve attempted to remove everyone still trying out for a competitive team from the list below. Due to the fluid nature of competitive tryouts its possible your name may still be listed for rust-off and skills evaluations. As the competitive rosters are finalized, I will do my best to update the house league sort-out lists. Additionally, you may still receive emails from me until the competitive rosters are finalized.

***PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SESSIONS BELOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON PLAYING U18 REP B/AA/AAA THIS SEASON. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND UNTIL YOU ARE RELEASED FROM A COMPETATIVE TEAM AND ARE PLANNING ON RETURNING TO PLAY IN HOUSE LEAGUE THIS YEAR.

PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE REGULARLY to see in which sessions your child will be scheduled to attend.

• The evaluation process should take approximately 3 weeks to cover skills evaluation, game play evaluation and team balancing. 
• At U18 our ice has been assigned 3-hour blocks. Players will be asked to be at a specific 1-hour session during each block. For evaluations purposes you cannot be moved to a different start time.
• Players’ names with their session times will be posted before each session.
• The lists for subsequent sessions will be updated after each skate.
• Player should arrive 30 minutes ahead of your assigned ice time. 
• If you cannot attend a scheduled session due to a conflict, please let me know as soon as possible.  
• Each player will receive an evaluation jersey that must be returned at the end of evaluations. A $50 replacement fee will be assessed for any missing jerseys. 
• If you still have an evaluation jersey from the previous year’s evaluations, can you please make sure to bring it with you to evaluations so it can be collected,

Every effort will be made to update the website quickly, however due to the nature of the evaluations and timing; there may be instances where the list for the next session cannot be posted until later in the day.
